At The George we support local suppliers, British farmers & artisan producers wherever possible, and our menu reflects this, offering some of the best seasonal dishes in the area.
Fresh Fish features prominently on our regularly-changing specials menu, and our head chef works in tandem with the seasons to create a constantly changing menu that uses natural ingredients in their prime, as well as game throughout the autumn.

Monday lunchtime and evening, we will surprise you with a different tempting 3 course meal. Auberge Supper is always full of flavours and at a fantastic price.
Steak Night
Join us on the last Wednesday evening of each month 6-9 for our Steak night. ‘The main event’ includes two 8oz prime Sirloin Steaks and a bottle of wine for just £49.95 for two people!
Fish’n’Chip Friday
Every Friday Lunch time, enjoy our glorious crispy cod in our special recipe beer batter, inclusive of our lovely house wine.
Sunday Lunch
Served midday till 3pm every Sunday, you will always find the finest Roast Sirloin of Beef at The George for a great price.
